What if we already have a design team?

Design Conquest is an ideal option to expand internal capabilities on an as-needed basis.

The pause and resume feature included in our professional plan makes Design Conquest lower risk than hiring a full-time designer and more cost effective than freelancers.

Why a membership rather than hourly rates?

1 - Hourly rates do not align incentives of brands and their designers. Designers are incentivized to work slowly, while brands want great work delivered fast. We focus on quality and timeliness above all.

2 - Memberships offer price certainty, which simplifies your budgeting and improves stakeholder buy-in.

3 - Memberships result in stronger relationships and higher quality deliverables than short-term or freelance contractors can provide.

Why shouldn't we hire a full-time designer?

1 - The annual cost of a full-time industrial designer can exceed $80,000 (plus benefits) and is a time consuming process.

2 - If you don't keep them busy at all times, you also pay for time not utilized.

3 - Our plans provide greater value and flexibility than in-house staff.

What is the pause and resume feature?

Our design packages are for 22 business days per month. If your current needs are finished within that time frame you can easily pause your membership. While paused, additional days stay available for work to resume in the future and your billing is placed on hold.

Pause and resume is currently included for all growth plan memberships.

Is there a limit to how many requests I can have?

There is no limit to requests and no limit to revisions as long as your membership remains active.

You can fill your project queue with as many design tasks as you'd like and we will diligently deliver them one by one.

How fast will I receive my designs?

Most requests are completed in two days or less. Larger scope projects may be broken up into the separate tasks needed for their completion and you will receive deliverables on an ongoing basis until projects are fully approved.

What programs do you design in?

We use industry standard software and are early adopters for programs that create high-caliber work and can be passed down the development pipeline to your partners.

Software varies based on the task at hand. We typically work in Solidworks, Keyshot, Virtual Reality, Midjourney and Adobe CC on Mac and Windows systems.

How do I request designs and provide feedback?

We use a purpose-built project management tool to keep requests and communication organized. You will instantly receive login credentials with your plan.

Nearly any file types can be uploaded to your platform to provide project details or feedback - pdfs, google docs, loom videos, URL links, and more.

If you have prototypes to send us for review we will provide you with shipping information.

Can you use our existing CAD files?

In most cases, yes! Depending on the quality of your assets we can move forward faster from where you are than starting over.

We're are able to view most file formats you can send us.

If you have native files for Solidworks or Keyshot we are able to maintain full editibality and build on what you already have.

What is the timeline to develop a new product from scratch?

We follow a structured product development process pioneered by some of the worlds most successful design firms. Projects are developed in stages from broad to refined (Concepts to Engineering).

Depending on complexity, new products typically take between 1-4 months to go from idea (or no idea!) to sampling.

Do you provide refunds?

Due to our subscription system, once work has been started we can't refund your payment.
